Intralaminar Infusion

Intralaminar infusion is a pain management technique in which medication, typically anesthetics or corticosteroids, is delivered into the epidural space of the spine through an intralaminar approach. This space surrounds the spinal cord and nerve roots. The goal is to reduce inflammation and provide pain relief, especially for conditions like herniated discs, spinal stenosis, or radiculopathy (nerve pain radiating down the arms or legs).

The procedure involves placing a needle between the vertebrae (often in the lumbar or cervical spine) to inject medication near the affected nerve roots. It can offer temporary relief from acute or chronic pain and is often combined with other treatments, such as physical therapy.
