This compression disrupts normal nerve function, leading to pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness that can radiate from the neck into the shoulder, arm, or hand. Symptoms can vary in intensity and may worsen with certain neck movements, affecting daily activities and overall upper-body function.
Common symptoms of cervical radiculopathy include neck pain that may radiate into the shoulder, arm, or hand, numbness or tingling in the affected areas, and muscle weakness in the arm or hand. Pain often worsens with certain neck movements, and patients may experience reduced grip strength or difficulty performing daily tasks that require arm or hand use.
Facial Pain
Facial pain refers to discomfort or pain occurring in the face, jaw, or mouth, which can arise from a variety of causes including nerve disorders, dental problems, sinus issues, or musculoskeletal conditions. One common source is trigeminal neuralgia, a nerve-related condition that causes sharp, stabbing pain along the trigeminal nerve. Symptoms can range from mild aching or pressure to severe, shooting, or burning pain, and may affect one or both sides of the face. The intensity, frequency, and triggers of facial pain vary depending on the underlying cause.
Common symptoms of facial pain include sharp, stabbing, burning, or aching sensations in the face, jaw, or around the eyes. Patients may experience pain that is intermittent or constant, often triggered by activities such as chewing, talking, or touching the face. Other symptoms can include numbness, tingling, or a feeling of pressure in the affected areas, and in some cases, muscle spasms or headaches.
Neck Pain
Neck pain refers to discomfort or pain in the cervical spine area, which can result from muscle strain, ligament injury, poor posture, herniated discs, arthritis, or nerve compression. It can range from a dull, constant ache to sharp or radiating pain that spreads into the shoulders, arms, or upper back. Neck pain may also be accompanied by stiffness, reduced range of motion, headaches, or numbness and tingling if nerves are affected. The severity and duration can vary, from temporary discomfort to chronic pain.
Common symptoms of neck pain include stiffness, soreness, or aching in the neck muscles, pain that may radiate into the shoulders, arms, or upper back, and reduced range of motion. Patients may also experience headaches, numbness, tingling, or weakness in the arms or hands if nerve compression is involved. Pain can worsen with certain movements, prolonged sitting, or poor posture.
Cervical Spondylosis
Also known as neck arthritis, cervical spondylosis is age-related wear and tear that affects the cervical spine. It’s one of the most common causes of chronic neck pain.
